Crossroads strives to stay at the head of the technological curve, rather
than play catch-up after a problem has occurred. We continuously keep you informed on the latest trends and technologies
to keep your network as up-to-date and efficient as possible. The
following networking tip is provided to help make your information system
network more productive and profitable.
Standardize on a Company-Wide Email Signature
Email is arguably the most prevalent form of communication for businesses. Employees send on average 30 emails a day, or about 500-600 emails each month to your clients, prospects, affiliates, etc. With every email sent is an opportunity to further brand your company, for free.
You never know when an
email will get forwarded to an individual or company that will want to
contact you, so make it easy for them by following these email signature
tips to get the most out of each email sent:
- List your company name and tag line
- Make it easy for clients to learn more about your business by including your web site URL in the signature (example: www.xrbs.com )
- Include your phone numbers and save recipients from opening their address books if they want to respond to your email via phone.
- Standardize on colors and fonts that support your brand (The look and feel should be similar to the look and feel of your brochures, business cards, etc)
- Include a legal disclaimer.
Here is an example of a powerful standardized company-wide
email signature, including a legal disclaimer:
