Network Design
Network Design: Network Infrastructure, Business Communication System, Local Area Network
/ Wide Area Network, Wireless Network Installation, Technical
Support
At Crossroads Business Solutions we believe that only after we understand
a business's objectives and needs can we architect a proper network design.
Businesses depend on their network infrastructure to run reliably. Designing
their network properly is how we help.
Network architecture design and configuration should always follow sound
fundamentals. A network should meet the specific business needs of an
organization, and provide a reliable, secure, fast and efficient business
communication system.
Basic Network Design
Even for a basic network design, we first need to
understand the business's information system's size and usage requirements
before we can properly determine the dimensions and specifications of the
proposed network. Until we have that understanding, any quote for cabling,
wireless network hardware, switches, servers, routers or firewalls would be flawed
and inaccurate.
Once the basic system requirements are determined, we design a custom
computer network specific to that business's needs. A complete network
system is comprised of two basic components:
- LAN - A Local Area Network (LAN) delivers applications to local users, and
provides the infrastructure
for group collaboration, including file sharing and transfer, printing,
etc.
Our LAN designs take into account the needs for reliability, security,
scalability and flexibility to ensure end user
productivity.
- WAN - A Wide Area Network (WAN) commonly
connects LANs
in geographically dispersed locations together using a variety of
technologies not normally used to form a LAN.
Network Design: The Full-Service Advantage
We can then supply the hardware; physically
install the equipment;
configure, and provide
technical support for, the hardware and software integrated into our
design; and update or
upgrade the system, when needed.
This process provides us a
comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the whole infrastructure. This allows us to
produce meaningful documentation for
handover, and makes subsequent tech support much easier for both the client
and us.
